Go Fast Camper

The most noticeable upgrade to the truck is the Go Fast Camper, so we’ll start here. Before getting the Go Fast, we initially had a bed cap, roof rack, support brace, and RTT. And after making the switch we also removed the bed slide and all of those other components and shaved off over 250 lbs. The truck handles way better now and also standing up inside of your camper changes everything. There’s just enough space down below for Koda, while me and Isabel sleep up top inside the tent portion. For my specific build I believe this is possibly the best upgrade. It’s incredibly strong and lightweight and also the full access to the sides is insanely useful. It even acts as a quick shade. One of the other things I like about it is that it’s pretty modular. The channels along the sides, front, and back are all mountable surfaces for lights & accessories. I’ll definitely update as I go, but not as fast as my Instagram I bet! Hah.

Dometic CFX 50

Another favorite mod of ours is the Dometic CFX 50. Goodbye sloshy ice! We used to buy ice every weekend and sometimes a few times during a trip. I’ve definitely spent a decent amount on ice... So we eventually got a fridge, but the fridge that will not be named had it’s issues. So when we upgraded to the Dometic, everything was better and we knew it would last a long time. It’s an amazing piece of equipment to have when you’re going off grid. It’s pretty damn durable as far as I can tell. I’d love a cover someday to prevent bigger gashes into the plastic, but I also admire the character the fridge has now from them (haha).
